The Valley Press Club Communication and Leadership Conference was held at Western New England College Wednesday April 7. The conference was presented in partnership with the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce and the AD Club of Western Mass. Conference attendees enjoyed 10 media and marketing workshops. Vincent D'Addario received the Valley Press Club's 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award for over 40 years as a professional news photojournalist. Vinnie is a former Photojournalist with the Republican newspaper and president of the Valley Press Club.
The Valley Press Club also celebrated its 50th Anniversary and received an award commemorating the decades of Scholarships the club has awarded since the 1960s - Over $100,000 in scholarships to local high school students pursuing careers in journalism. The annual event has been held at Western New England College for the past seven years.
